Our Sourcing
Where the kratom comes from, how it's tested, and what we ask of every supplier before a brand appears on the site.
The Farms
The kratom we make ourselves is sourced from family farms in Thailand and Indonesia — Surat Thani in the south of Thailand, West Kalimantan and Sumatra across the strait. These are the regions where Mitragyna speciosa has grown for centuries, and where most of the families we buy from have worked the plant across generations.
We maintain direct relationships with every farm we buy from. No commodity brokers, no anonymous lots. We know where each batch comes from, and the farmers know who they're growing for.
Sourcing partners practice selective harvesting that allows trees to regenerate, no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, and fair compensation that supports rural livelihoods.
Harvest & Processing
Leaves are harvested by hand. Experienced farmers select only mature leaves at the right stage — alkaloid content varies with leaf age, season, even time of day, and the timing matters.
After harvest, leaves are processed using traditional sun-drying and fermentation methods refined over generations. Different drying techniques produce different strains — the familiar red, green, and white varieties result from variations in this process.
Once dried, leaves are ground in climate-controlled facilities that meet international food-safety standards. The full path — from tree to sealed bag — typically takes seven to ten days.
Testing & Quality
This is the floor every product on the site clears before it appears. Independent labs. ISO-aligned methods. Certificates you can read.
Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine levels verified for consistency and potency.
Tested for lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury — within California Prop 65 limits.
Screened for salmonella, E. coli, yeast, and mold to confirm product safety.
Confirmed as genuine Mitragyna speciosa, free of adulterants or substitutes.
Manufacturing
GMP — Good Manufacturing Practice — is the production discipline the supplement and pharmaceutical industries hold themselves to: documented procedures for every step, third-party audits, rigorous quality control, complete batch traceability.
We are bringing it across the catalogue as a target rather than a finished claim. Where a product is made under GMP qualification — and a number on the site already are, both in the kratom.com line and in the brands we list alongside it — the credential appears on the product page. Where it doesn't yet, we're working with the supplier to get it there.

A Certificate of Analysis is published for every batch on the site. Not because anyone requires it of us — because transparency is what we want the standard of this category to feel like.
